About Us
Ambedkar Intellectauls Forumis a voluntary non-governmental organization.Registered by Registrar of Societies, Himachal Pradesh, Shimla-171009 with registration number 476/2011 dated 28.05.2011.Registered under the provisions of the Himachal Pradesh Societies Registration Act, 2006. Head office of the Forum is in Shimla with following address-“Shrikhand” Shikhar Colony, village and post office BEOLIA, Tehsil Shimla (Rural), District Shimla, Shimla -171013.
Goal: to carry on the legacy of Dr Ambedkar in the fight for the rights of socially challenged, women and workmen and bring about socio-economic liberty, fraternity and equality.
Objectives
- To educate people regarding writings, thoughts, philosophy and struggle of Dr Ambedkar and to spread his message.
- To launch awareness programmes regarding protective provisions of the Constitution and Legislation made thereunder.
- To study existing plans and programmes set for social justice and economic empowerment of weaker sections of society, build up data bank and suggest model for development.
- To be proactive in the matter of atrocities against vulnerable sections and support the victims.
- To organize seminars, sessions, workshops and training for general awareness.
- To mobilize socially challenged, women and workmen for common cause.
- To publish periodicals and brochure on relevant issues.
Features of the Forum
- It is a non-political social organization
- It functions to complement and supplement efforts of organizations working in the similar field with similar aims and objectives.
Membership
- An adult person can become a member provided she/he agrees to the aims and objectives of the Forum and abides by its regulations.
- He/she will have to register the name with the Forum and pay an annual membership fee of INR One Thousand only.
